Mark Zuckerberg Drops $115 Million On 750 Acres Of Land In Kauai

And this news broke the same day it was revealed that the Facebook founder donated a whopping $25 million to the Centers for Disease Control to help combat the deadly Ebola outbreak. But remember, the Zuck is worth an estimated $33.3 billion, so this is all just a drop in the bucket!

Anyway, the rumors are apparently true: Mark Zuckerberg has purchased 750 acres of land on Kauai's north shore, and it cost him a little over $115 million. Two properties are included in the parcel -- the first is the 357-acre Kahu’aina Plantation, which includes 2,500 feet of white sand beach, and the second is Pila'a Beach, a 393-acre isolated oceanfront property adjacent to the plantation.

The plantation, which has a working organic farm, set Zuckerberg back $66 mil, while Pila'a cost $49.8 million. Technically, the tech billionaire has an 89.2% stake in the second property, so he doesn't own it outright, but given how private he is, we can't imagine he'd buy it unless it came with certain guarantees.

The plantation has approval for 80 houses, but of course, Zuckerberg only plans to build one. Maybe a guest home too? I mean, he's got enough space...

Celine Dion Reduces Asking Price On Montreal Mansion By $6 Million

Her heart will go on, and so will her determination to unload this real estate!

Celine Dion listed her 24,000-square-foot Montreal estate for $28 million in 2012, but after failing to find a buyer, she has slashed the asking price to $22 million.

The six bedroom, six bathroom home is located on a private island, which measures over 830,000 square feet, on the River Mille Iles. Dion and husband Rene Angelil moved into the pad in 2001, and promptly enlisted a team of 300 people to refurbish and expand it.

The place is accessed via a private gated bridge with security post, and according to listing info, "a helipad can be created to make access by air possible." The main floor features a formal living room and dining room and a custom la Cornue kitchen, and up the winding staircase on the second level there are several bedrooms. The third story houses a guest bedroom and a home gym, and on the lower level, there is a game room and a vaulted stone wine cellar with a tasting room.

Outside there are several stone terraces, a large in-ground pool and a pool house with its own kitchen and built-in grill. Click the gallery below for more photos!

Elie Tahari Drops Over $25 Million For The Entire Top Floor Of Fancy NYC Building

Who knew Elie Tahari had so much money to burn?! The fashion designer's company rakes in half a billion dollars in annual revenue and he has a history of investing in pricey properties, so maybe we shouldn't be so surprised with his recent purchase...

Tahari dropped $25.25 million for two condos on the top floor of a fancy Central Park building, and while they aren't covered in marble and gold, the views seem well worth the price tag!

Together, the two condos have 4,099 square feet of interior living space and an almost unheard of 3,395 square feet of terraces with views of the south, east and west. Tahari previously rented a three bedroom pad in the same building for $30,000 per month, so he must have really fallen in love with the place.

Tahari bought Rupert Murdoch's penthouse in 2005 for $24.675 million, only to sell it in 2010 for $27.5 million, and in 2006 he sold a penthouse at the Trump International for $13.05 million in 2006. Tahari also owns two adjoining penthouse apartments in a building on Fifth Avenue, and he has a 2.3-acre estate in the Hamptons as well. And yes, he sold his other Hamptons home in Amagansett for $6.5 in 2010. Looks like he likes to switch it up!
