Katy Perry Purchases Two Hollywood Hills Residences For $11.2 Million

It looks like Katy Perry has pulled a Reese Witherspoon and purchased several adjoining properties to create a multi-residence compound.

The pop star reportedly paid $11.2 million for two properties atop Runyon Canyon in the Hollywood Hills. Combined, the estates have two houses on three adjoining lots totaling 3.95 acres. The compound also boasts two gated entrances, two guesthouses, two swimming pools and spas, and an equestrian facility.

The larger of the two spans 2.33 acres (3,800-plus square feet of land) and features a stone terrace around an elevated swimming pool and terraced gardens connected by stairways.

The second compound consists of two adjacent residential parcels — one vacant and the undeveloped — that take up 1.62 acres of land. When it was still owned by American oil heiress Aileen Getty, the abode had three bedrooms and two bathrooms on 2,916 square feet of living space and an additional two bedrooms and a bathroom located in a detached guest house.

The singer sold her Laurel Canyon compound, which she bought with ex-husband comedian Russell Brand in mid-2011, for $6.5 million last week. She was awarded full ownership of the historic property in her divorce. Lets hope she makes happier memories in her new home.

drew-house-cd-main.jpg

Drew Barrymore has listed her Montecito ranch for a whopping $7.5 million, and yes, this is the place where she tied the knot with hubby Will Kopelman in June of 2012.

Barrymore purchased the property in June of 2010 for $5.705 million, and the house sits on over 2 acres of land with 6,258 square feet of living space. There are 6 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, and according to listing information, the "old world estate enjoys many wonderful features only found in the classic homes built in the 1930s, and it remains a family home of understated elegance and rich history in a secluded setting of calm and beauty."

The front door opens into a foyer, and the living room has a large wood burning fireplace, an elegant mantelpiece and wide plank flooring. The home also has a library/study, a gallery hallway "with marvelous cabinetry" and an office area that leads to the master bedroom which also features a wood burning fireplace. There are two spacious guest bedrooms located on the second level of the home, and though the kitchen isn't brand new, it has a unique vintage charm.

The main attraction however is the "park-like landscaping," including a large brick terrace, trees, beds of roses and flowering shrubs. But where's the pool? We're guessing any future owners could easily put one in...
