Jon Bon Jovi Lists Manhattan Penthouse For $42 Million

Jon Bon Jovi has listed his Manhattan duplex penthouse for $42 million, and get this -- he initially wanted $45 million for the place!

The rocker bought the 7,500-square-foot pad in 2007 for $24 million, and after spending several million dollars renovating the place (he converted one of the two master suites into a media room and remodeled both of the kitchens), he's been trying to quietly sell the place since October of 2011.

The duplex has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, and while the 11-foot ceilings and sleek, modern design is appealing, it's the 3,100-square-feet of roof terraces (three total) that make this pad a real standout. Most New Yorkers don't have 3,100-square feet of living space, let alone deck space!

There are two U-shaped kitchens, one of which is next to the main living space on the upper level and the other is next to the great room on the lower level. There are three guest bedrooms on the lower level (each of which has a private bathrooms) and the tiny staff bedroom next to the laundry room even has it's own bath as well.
