Red Sox Pitcher John Lackey Lists Newport Beach Home For $10 Million

Boston Red Sox star pitcher John Lackey has put his Newport Beach home on the market, listing the 9,100-square-foot oceanfront mansion for just under $10 million.
Lackey purchased the home in early 2010 for $8.4 million, which was just a few months after he left the Anaheim Angels to sign a 5 year, $82.5 million contract with the Sox.
The Crystal Cove estate, which was built by architect Bob White in 2007, features a main home and a guest bungalow for a total of five bedrooms and seven baths. There are 180-degree views from a half-acre location, and the backyard features a large pool, a fire pit and a spacious area for outdoor entertaining.
The house features custom travertine flooring, custom cedar closets and an interior courtyard, along with an entertainer’s bar and a theater room.
