Fall has arrived and three words should come to mind when decorating for the season ... natural, neutral and simple.
The urge to decorate a room with pumpkins and leaves of all shapes and sizes may be tempting, but celebrity decorator Nester Smith says:
"Autumn is such a beautiful season, and I think it's the easiest season to incorporate into our home. Over the years, I've gone overboard, I've gone under-board, and I've exhausted lots of fall decorating ideas."
As for the three lessons she's learned over the years, Smith adds:
"Keep it natural, keep it neutral, and keep it simple."
We happen to think her Fall decor, which incorporates a simple table runner, a fresh pumpkin and a few gourds, looks fashionably chic. And the touch of a whimsical wreath adds the perfect amount of personality.
